Probate - Guardianship

Much of the estate planning listed on this website is designed to avoid judicial interference in the personal decisions of your life and the lives of your loved ones. However, many people simply put off planning until it is too late. In these instances, it may become necessary to involve the court system to allow you to assist a loved one with their healthcare decisions and/or their financial decisions.

Upon your application to the court, a Judge can appoint you as the guardian over your loved one. Thus, with court supervision, you will be allowed to make important decisions for your loved one.
